  2. The best offerings I've seen have been from Jameel Ur Rehman and Debora Di Meo on Facebook. That's not a guarantee or endorsement, only my observations on what I've seen.
  3. So just checking in, but has there been any movement on finding someone who does this flight suit and vest correctly to the CRLs at all?
  4. Over the last two weeks, I got my stilts most of the way done. To do tomorrow is to add a base, and rubber to the bottom for a sole, and to get some fabric to make a swatch to latch hook around the base of each and add the toes. So close, yet so far! Still excited for the progress. Going to go look at some hockey pads, and shorts tomorrow to help define the build so I can get measurements for my mesh suit. IMG_5858.jpeg

  7. @Stitchlord Do you have a rough idea of when you'll be ready to present all of your updates to us for model consideration? Just curious about a timeline.
  8. Hello Jane, Our Armorer CRL draft can be found here; Our draft is in a pretty good state, I don't see it changing in any serious way. The potential model we have is currently working on a few updates and we are waiting to hear back from her once those updates are completed.
  9. Hello everyone, I built an Armorer costume based on the CRL of the RL and MMCC. I can't see any progress here. Can anyone tell me what the current status of the CRL is at the 501st? Greetings from Germany Jane

  11. @Ripper556 My reply from March 21st (above) is the most recent update still. We reviewed the costume of our model and recommended some corrections, which he is currently working on. Some corrections take longer to complete than others so we are waiting for those to be finished.
  12. Wanted to check in an see if any progress has been made on approval of the CRL?
  14. Some other progress on the new mask https://drive.google.com/file/d/17hdLWc2JBHCuWXtLLOFfnaMGRg1jzWQP/view?usp=drivesdk
  15. As I was posting the above I noticed I didn't have any good pics of my helmet ... so here we go
  16. So, I had a rangefinder aluminium stalk that I had on hand. I've used it with the helmet but the issues I had was it was slim (3mm !) and I had to drill the top for screws to attach to the Rangefinder. Well, I've had two RFs fall off and break So I decided to take the plunge and get a stalk from MinuteFett, just got it, and it is THICK (6mm !) lol
  17. Could you please post photos of all angles and include full length photos of the front/back of the pants, as well?
  18. Oof. That's a hard one. Mine was made by a good friend on here daisy! I know on the nite owls grp, excellent leather has been working w 2 501st members trying to develop a pattern I also know debora di meo is working on a pattern as we speak. And her work is good to. Otherwise, I feel ur pain!!!
  19. Hey everyone! I’m starting my Deathwatch build along with 4 other ladies of the legions. I noticed one possible concern with the CRL and the suits available from Keep Trooping and Gwabo. I had my suit custom made as the KT and Gwabo suits did not fit me well so my reference photo below is not from either suit maker - though I initially bought a Gwabo suit. The CRL photo shows 3 rows of batting on the shirt sides (I’ll refer to them as Ribs) between the bottom of the flak vest and top of pant waistband. Since a female waist sits much higher than the hips on the guys, we will all be wearing our pants at our natural waist. This is higher than where the men are wearing their pants and some of us have shorter torsos (partially due to our chests) so it further shortens the space we have between our flak vests and pants. All of us have the same issue when we pull the waist band down to see more ribs and expand the gap: it’s uncomfortable, hard to walk in and looks awful. See the CRL level two verbiage in blue: Flak Vest is sized so it leaves a large gap between the bottom of the Vest and the Belt. Question: Is it safe to say a “large” gap is relative to the gender or body type to allow for longer chests and lower waists? Feedback / assurance appreciated on behalf of all of us working on Deathwatch. I currently have two leather vest color options, grey and off white. I feel like I have seen both approved but it could be the weathering. I will be going with off white. My belt is from Slide Belts. I got the graphite buckle. My holster, pouches & calf boot trim are from Obsessive Passions who did the leather in the CRL photo. My armor & weapons are coming from Jason Litsinger and Jason Poulin (J and J Props) who do amazing scaling, print out of tough resin and do some great painting. I will be having boots custom made by Crowprops as I do not fit in any standard boots. I had good luck with my custom Inferno boots from him, so fingers crossed. I am having the calf cylinder machined out of aluminum as the found plumbing part is currently unavailable and well… shiny. I was able to try on various pieces of armor and the jetpack from garrison mates prior to printing in order to dial in the scale of each piece. The bells and butt seemed to be the most off in scale. I will post an update once my armor, weapons and jetpack are here. Until then, I welcome any feedback on the build. I have built 3 Bo’s and 1 Armorer so I have a few Mando’s under my belt but none with a jetpack so heavy. I’m located in the SF Bay Area and part of the Golden Gate Garrison. My only approved costume is Bo thought I have 1 IO’s and an Iden ready to app. Oya!!
  20. Hello everyone! I'm currently looking to build a Din Djarin BOBF cosplay. I have this flight suit and belt and was wondering if they are a good base to start my build. So far I know the cummerbund is the wrong material and the belt probably needs different pouches
  21. Awesome! I will check those leads out! Thanks
  22. For the weathering of soft goods, I used different colors of Fuller's Earth. I actually bought some from TrooperBay on Etsy. A little goes a long way. I'd sprinkle a little of the cocoa brown on and then rub it into the fabric with my hands and an old brush I had. For the boots/gaiter's, I used the lighter colored (sand) Fuller's Earth, rubbed in on them and sealed it with hairspray! On the chest, I did my silver after the paint. Mine was paint > silver weathering > black wash > brown wash > clear coat Yeah, the yellow/orange parts will look completely different in all kinds of lighting. Not sure why that color doesn't come across well, but it's definitely weird. Oh, also I would try and weather the girth belt as well. I know a lot of people just do the Pet rope and call it good, but getting it closer to the right (darker) color scheme will make it look so much better, IMO.
  23. Thanks for the feedback. It's nice to see the end in sight now! I probably glanced over it but what's the best way for weathering the soft goods like boots/gaiters/sash? I'll probably repaint some of my chest armor and start over with the silver. It's probably the lighting from the pic but in person the shoulders and knees are pretty weathered with brown wash made it go from bright yellow to more orange yellow Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
  24. A few quick things I noticed: No scarf? Or it appears to be tucked in the suit? Pants/sash need more weathering Boots/gaiters need weathering Hoses are going into sleeve, should go to under the shoulder armor instead Silver(?) weathering on the main chest armor seems a little haphazard and should more replicate/match the shows armor The bottom of the stomach armor should come to just above the end of the flack vest. Yours is too high I feel like the shoulder and knee armor could use a brown wash or weathering to better match the on screen armor The ears on the helmet don't appear to be weathered? They should be Those are what I could see at first glance.
  25. Did a practice suit up tonight and practice submission pics. If anyone has any suggestions on anything I needs some tweaks I'm all ears. Also I realized after the fact that the battery pack to chest display was hanging out [emoji23] Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
  26. Yup, just as expected, it was probably a combination of the bright lighting inside the house plus using iPhone’s RAW setting which can mess up the meter’s white balance making it look white. I took this photo outside on a cloudy day (natures own soft box) and placed it beside our window trim (white) and the side wall (bluish gray) for some contrast to show the silver paint 🙂 hope this helps resolve this issue and as always, thanks for the feedback @andyman97 🙂
